About PAL

To meet the  needs of seniors, PAL volunteers offer several free services:

Visits
PAL arranges visits for seniors who enjoy animals but can no longer have a pet.

Placement
PAL offers placement services for seniors looking for the right new pet or to place pets they can no longer keep.

Advocacy
PAL advocates for seniors who want to keep their pets when moving into a new residence.  PAL also knows seniors' love of animals does not diminish with age or change in lifestyle.

Pet Assistance League of Yolo County
The PAL Story
Common concerns brought the founders of the Pet Assistance League together in 1992.  Since then, PAL has reached out to seniors through pet visits, relocating pets to loving families, and offering a forum to discuss the needs of the senior community.   PAL was forged from interests in community service, pets, and maintaining seniors' quality of life.
